31-05-2014 - WTOC 2014 and respect of gender equality in competition sport: WTOC 2014 recently received patronage from the Gender Equality Table of Trentino.

This institution, recognized the particular qualities of Trail Orienteering in promoting gender equity: there is no class difference between men and women, paralympics are fully included in the competitions and within the organizing committee many important roles are occupied by women: event director (Falda), planner of PreO's 1st stage (Beltramo) and responsible for logistics and human resources (Vecchies), Event Director Roberta Falda herself conceived, together with her working group, a project
concerning TrailO which has been very appreciated last April at the Workshop in Trento about sport, education and equal opportunities.
